It is preferred in buildings of limited use, in which is asked the direct efficiency of the heating or cooling system and temperature fluctuation is not an issue (public services, schools, rooms for events, theatres cinemas etc). It is also suitable for a rural residence that is used at winter only in Weekends. It can also be applied in existing buildings, due to its easy placement.
At the case of internal heat insulation the insulating material should be well fixed on the wall. The best solution of internal heat insulation from technical & economic point of view is the use of the composite panel of Expanded Polystyrene with Graphite NEOPOR and water resistant plasterboard KNAUFInTherm known as BETOBOARD because it achieves particularly low prices of k (now U value) with small thickness due to the thermal conductivity λ of NEOPOR so ass not to lose precious square meters in the interior and due to the plasterboard there is no need for roughcast only some caulking and painting, therefore stains less.
The suitable thickness results according to the regulation of Energy Efficiency of Buildings.
