Boxes of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) in various types and dimensions.
Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) boxes used for protective and isothermal packaging fish, meat, food, fruits, ice-cream, pharmaceutical and medical materials and other applications. Generally they can be used for any use of packaging you can imagine. They are produced with or without holes, and depending on the type, they are sold with or without lid. You can transport, using them, weights of products ranging from 2 to 20 Kgr. The boxes are of high strength, in order to facilitate stacking and palletising. Also they have a particularly low thermal conductivity coefficient (λ) to prevent thermal shocks during the transport of products even in large distances.
All the products that our company offers, have a Certificate of Appropriateness from the State General Chemical Laboratory for use as a food packaging material according to the terms of the European Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 and the article 26 of the Food and Drink Code.
Α. Foods:
Boxes of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) in various types for every need of packaging which can protect foods from deterioration of its quality at their phase of distribution, like meats, fishes, fruits or pastry products.
Studies have shown that the use of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) as a packaging for fruits maintains a larger percentage of their weight (very small losses of weight) as also of their content in vitamin C compared with other packaging materials, after 30 and 60 days in the box.
The boxes are produced with or without holes, and depending on the type, they are sold with or without lid.
B. Pharmaceutical material:
Specialized innovative packaging products for pharmaceutical material (MED BOX) made of Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) with exceptionally high thermal-insulating properties.
The basic sector of research of the pharmaceutical industry is the most optimal and reliable way of distribution and transport of their products that simultaneously fulfils the relevant legislative requirements. Specifically, the changes in the legislation of the OFFICIAL JOURNAL OF THE HELLENIC REPUBLIC 59/24-01-2006 in combination with the Rule of Conduct of Medicine Distribution specify that all the necessary measures should be in place for the protection of medicines from any possible alteration, from the time of their production up to the moment of use from the patient. This is something extremely difficult, if you imagine how many different persons and stages are involved in this route. For this reason, it is obligatory to use suitable packaging products. Our company designs and produces special thermally insulating products (MED BOX EPS) made of Expanded Polystyrene for the packaging of medicines and other pharmaceutical material.
