NEOCOAT THP Group is a new subgroup of EPS expanded polystyrene products which was created exclusively for the application of the Exterior Thermal Insulation of Buildings, which is otherwise called Thermosphere, and THP originates from this word. All products of the Neocoat THP group are made from self-blooming material containing flame retardants. For this reason, insulating slabs made of BASF's Neopor® Matrix are cut from blocks that have been left in the warehouse for 14 days before they are cut into slabs to complete their contractions and show excellent dimensional stability, with the tightest dimensional tolerances in 3 dimensions, but also in rectangular and flatness, and are constantly tested for their tensile strength vertically to the surfaces and bending to the plant and the company's laboratory. EPS core products for external thermal insulation are certified beyond the main EN 13163 EPS standard and based on the requirements of standards EN 13499 and ETAG 004 governing the application of external thermal insulation through the German GSH Certification Body.

The thermal insulation material of the future is called Neocoat from Neopor® Matter from BASF. Neopor® is a product of intense research by BASF® and is a new innovative expanded polystyrene material. It has a silver gray color and offers significantly improved thermal insulation performance compared to conventional heat insulating materials. In each material, heat is transmitted through conduction, convection, and radiation. In closed cell materials such as Extruded Polystyrene (EPS), there can be no air movement, and thus heat transmission by treatment is minimized.

Therefore, in Conventional Inflated Polystyrene heat transmission is mainly carried out by convection and radiation. In Neocoat, tiny graphite molecules containing 3% of its composition act as reflectors that block the transmission of heat through radiation, allowing only convection to contribute to heat loss. As a result, Neocoat thermal insulation boards made of BASF's Neopor® Matter have 15% - 20% better thermal insulation properties than conventional White Extruded Polystyrene (EPS).

With the exception of its improved thermal insulation performance even at low densities compared to Extruded Polystyrene (EPS), Neocoat retains all the advantages of the mechanical and ecological properties of EPS.

Types of NEOCOAT THP have been tested by most companies that have in the Greek market External Thermal Insulation Systems with expanded polystyrene EPS and are the most suitable thermal insulation solution. The application of external thermal insulation is the best solution to thermal insulation in a building and especially to existing ones is one of the few solutions that can be applied. The application of External Thermal Insulation with EPS is used in 9 out of 10 applications of external thermal insulation instead of other thermal insulation materials, according to data from the European Association of External Thermal Insulation Systems SAE.
